Me Tarzan. You Similar

One of the benefits or burdens to being me, is this urge I have to make people see things. So, while I could just very well say: “oh get over it!”, I realise, it is not necessarily the best answer to any social/spiritual/physical/emotional construct. Especially when GET-OVER-IT, is the world we live in. You’re afraid of tall staircases – get over it! There will be no elevators for you. You’re disabled and would like to see more ramps on buildings – get over it! It’s too expensive! And you don’t understand homosexuality – get over it! "We’re here, we’re queer, wipe your hands in us " [trademark Charlie Sheen/Harper: Two & A Half Men]. Oh how I’d like you to get over it… but my higher brain function wants to show you something: YOU yes you, YOU ARE ALL ALIKE. You human, of homo or hetero descent are the same. There is nothing that fundamentally different between you. watch. Both Communities Are Stupid: For proof of this, go Youtube. Politely scan any video and I’m...

Me Tarzan. You Supernatural Coincidence

watch le video then read le article * Last week I  posted on my Creative Blog, the latest in the Hand of Gordon Series . I sub-dubbed it,  "Gordon goes to the Gates of Hell". It was Act 13 in the series. I had not planned that THAT piece be the 13th... it just happened to fall that way. I however, had me a good chuckle at the way, it all  played out. * A couple weeks before that, I sat in the taxi heading back to the office. The driver and his friend were talking about Play Whe Marks.  Side-Bar: Now - if you don't live in Trinidad & Tobago or are not prone to play the game/gamble - you should know that Play Whe Marks are all based on dream logic and supernatural interpretations. Advertising agency junkies like myself have tried to push the brand out of that but let's face it, if uncle Joe had a dream about a flying centipede with a loose woman and an opium man, he knows to play 1, 16 or 29. And if he almost gets bitten by a big dog, he KNOWS...

Me Tarzan. You Failed

Watch this Sesame Street video and remember.  This morning, the office sort of shut down as we all [okay most of us] gathered round a Mac to watch old Sesame Street songs/videos. I blame my friend Ian for that. Posting this video on his faceboys wall, caused us all to just revisit the good ol' [drug induced?] days.  Of course, for me, a fresh sadness crept it as i realised a stunning truth: We have failed Sesame Street. We have failed ourselves.  All of us with our issues about every thing, every one and every group; who [only] see the darkness every where... we ALL grew up watching Sesame Street and we have not learned. What happened world? What happened to Tolerance? What happened to Understanding?  How quickly we have forgotten the rules. How easy it was to just exile common sense to the desert of childhood memories.  ...

Me Tarzan. You Equal Wrongs

Always mind your surroundings. Play the track: read the blog. Pax The human capacity for spotting the truth is uncanny. Even if one denies the existence of it, when truth  speaks we know it is real. Especially when it comes from the mouths of our leaders. You may  clap louder, hoping that the noise will drown it out, but once you get that feeling… you know you’ve  been hit by truth. For example, when your leaders say, that they are disturbed by crime, you know  they’re saying it to satiate you; or when a they join the Muslim community in prayer – kneeling  ‘respectfully’ et al [when you’ve NEVER seen them do so before] –  you feel they’re being just a little  disingenuous.  BUT… when a leader in public life, a holder of political office no less, says to you that [in  essence] his way of life is threatened by gays, in fact HET...

Me Tarzan, You Save Me

Ah, Smallville. Ah, Remy Zero! You say the best things. "How to save the world in five (5) minutes? Die. It dawns on me that both religiously and ordinarily, when someone dies... People change. U could try to change people all you want but it's in death that they realise - he, she stood for something. And they change. Funny. Pax"  - Text to a brother: July 20th, 2012; 6:19pm * I used to live in fear of the phone ringing. There was a time when the phone would ring and i would wonder if this was the day that my heart would be broken? Would i hear the news that a loved one [friend/family] has died? Was it a car crash? Please God, don't let evil or sad/tragic intent be on the other end of the phone. I haven't felt that way for a while, till las...

Me Tarzan. You Immortality

a little Joe Black to start things off..... There are two things I have thought about when it comes to death. Surprisingly, it isn’t “where am I going to spend eternity?” at least… not much. No, the two things have to do with the impact of my life on the people I leave behind; my mother, my friends, my work. I’ve included “my work” as a person because oft times it feels like it has a life all its own. The first thought revolves around Substitution . When a person dies, there creates an obvious void. As far as spirituality goes, one may say their soul & spirits simply returned to sender, but in the temporal realm, there is a void. Question: to replace that void, should I organise a surrogate… a substitute in my stead to a). keep “me” alive and b). to continue the natural flow of things? Example: I have two brothers on either side of the religious divide. One is an intelligent whack job who lives on my planet [the Theist], the other is an intelligent whack j...

Me Tarzan. You Rant From A Safe Place

[you can watch the whole thing if you'd like but TO THE POINT start from 4:30 - 5:33 ] After a wonderful little conversation with a Deist about religion I realized two very important things: 1.               I hate 'religion' [in quotation marks] and 2.               I hate myself I have long since become an apologist, trying desperately to use intellect as a means of ratifying faith and humanity; not just science [which I’ve always felt were estranged brothers in the least] but humanity on the whole. This of course is pointless as the very IDEA of faith is at best MAGIC to most and since we all know magic does not exist [right], we “otherwise rational” people are thought of as… well… stupid. What is left is me trying to show WHY Jesus is real and WHY God [as you perceive him] is in fact NOT a narcissist. This is not an easy task. N...
